The BWYASSS House of Pride was an extraordinary celebration that took place in early March, coinciding with the Sydney World Pride festivities. This remarkable event was the result of a powerful collaboration between BWYASSS, BWS, Carat Australia, and PEDESTRIAN.TV, culminating in a truly unforgettable experience curated by and for the LGBTQIA+ community.

Having the privilege of being a part of this journey was nothing short of amazing. From the initial pitch deck and designs to the meticulous curation of event spaces alongside the event's art director, I witnessed the event's transformation from concept to reality.

I took charge of designing the main dancefloor room, drawing inspiration from the vibrant inculsive disco clubs of the 70s; including a disco ball tower, large scale wall decals and pride flag T-shaped runway. This dream project allowed me to contribute to an event that celebrated the community's spirit, resilience, and unyielding pride.

The BWYASSS House of Pride will remain etched in my memory as an event where creativity, inclusivity, and self-expression were at the forefront. It was a resounding display of pride, inclusivity, and unapologetic queerness.
